When my children were younger, I always used to tell them that the one thing Dad could not do for them, was to have a relationship with God on their behalf. It was up to each of them to build a personal relationship with the Father.

Dear Church Leaders and Prayer Warriors
I have been so overjoyed these last few months as I have discovered many praying churches in the Body of Christ and witnessed the unity among them. I believe with my whole heart that the prayer of Jesus Christ in John 17 is finally coming to pass. Many years ago, a dear friend had a very powerful vision of a giant figure of a man lying across the southern tip of Africa. This man was immobilised. His hands and legs were pinned down with ropes and hundreds of little demon spirits were busy hammering stakes into the ground, securing the ropes to prevent him from getting up. The Lord revealed that the giant was the Church. It was in a very lethargic state and it would require prayer and unity for it to rise up and break the bonds of powerlessness and inability.

Dear fellow-disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ
The Lord has clearly been leading me to continue the thrust towards a new prayer “movement” in South Africa. In this context a “movement” is more than one church or even church groups praying. It is the Almighty God moving on the entire Body of Christ in a nation, as well as the surrounding nations.
I have had such wonderful responses to my previous letter. I could immediately see the responsible attitude that the Lord’s people have taken concerning prayer for the future of our nation. Thank you for all the kind letters and the Christ-like attitudes.
It is necessary for individual believers to stop and consider the purpose and role of the Body of Christ in this nation. I believe that as His Body we have to manifest and proclaim the Kingdom of God in its entirety in order to bring about peace and stability to the land. When confronted with strongholds, obedience to God’s commandments (Word) become most essential. Behind Jericho, Israel’s first stronghold was the Promised Land. To overcome, and bring down the walls, required faith and obedience.
Joshua was obedient to every command given to him by God as well as Moses. The first time we hear of him is in Ex 17:9-10 where he immediately and without question obeys the command of Moses. This obedience was the reason why Joshua was such a remarkable leader and as a result, enjoyed great rewards.

Psalm 89 v 19 to 27
One of the most precious things in life is to know the will, plan and purpose of God for our lives. After all, this is all that matters. If we step into HIS will it is like stepping into a surge or current of supernatural energy that begins to work in us. Finding His will and purpose and responding to it, is like kindling a fire and stepping into His incredible blessedness and peace of heart.
In times of trouble, prayer coupled with fasting can mean the difference between life and death.
GOD knows when faith is released through WORD-based prayers. This causes lives and situations to change and improve. Faith destroys and shatters demonic resistance, allowing doors of opportunity to be opened.
How serious are you really about obtaining an answer to your prayers? Urgent ones? Important ones? We can achieve great spiritual momentum and breakthroughs through prayer, intensified with fasting, making our prayers real serious. This does not go unnoticed by the Father. Jesus said that we would be fasting and He wouldn't have said that if it was worthless. In fact, He himself fasted and we are His disciples.
